Matthew Bratcher | Executive Director
Matthew Bratcher is the Executive Director of Kentucky NORML with over two decades in the cannabis industry. His experience spans from traditional cannabis markets to managing advertising compliance across 14 markets. Since 2016, he has been involved in cannabis policy across multiple states and has advised candidates from city council to state senate.
Matthew holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and International Affairs from Western Kentucky University and is a certified paralegal. With expertise in research, negotiations, and intergovernmental relations, Matthew brings a strong background in media and communication to his role.

Lauren Bratcher | Deputy Director
Lauren Bratcher is a dedicated leader in the medical cannabis industry, committed to advancing education, advocacy, and responsible practices in Kentucky. She began her professional career in cannabis as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Eyechronic (later renamed Enlighten), where she honed her skills in strategic growth and market development. This pivotal role laid the foundation for her continued impact in the industry.
Currently, Lauren serves as the Deputy Director of Kentucky NORML and is the Founder of the Kentucky Cannabis Foundation. In these roles, she works tirelessly to promote cannabis education and reform across the state. Additionally, she owns and operates Kentucky Cannabis Group, where she provides strategic consulting and guidance to businesses in the cannabis sector.

Dan Isenstein | Director of Communications
Dan Isenstein is a hemp historian and the visionary behind the Hemp Highway of Kentucky, a self-directed tour that immerses visitors in the rich and varied history of hemp in the region. The tour, which spans central Kentucky, connects key historical sites from the grand mansions of downtown Lexington to the remnants of long-forgotten mills, all linked by 13 roadside markers that narrate the story of Kentucky's hemp legacy. This journey is accessible through maps available at area hotels, welcome centers, and online.
An unabashed history enthusiast, Dan began his deep dive into cannabis hemp research while pursuing his graduate studies in Popular Culture at Bowling Green State University. His extensive research culminated in his first book, Tales from the Kentucky Hemp Highway.

Robert Morgan | Director of Veteran Outreach
Bob Morgan, a disabled Navy veteran, serves as the Director of Veteran Outreach at Kentucky NORML.
With a background as a sonar technician on submarines, Bob's military service instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and resilience. Transitioning to the business world, he excelled as Vice President of Operations at Remedy Vapor LLC, demonstrating his strategic vision in the vape retail industry.
Bob's commitment to veterans' well-being and his expertise make him an invaluable asset to Kentucky NORML and the broader community. -
Shealonda Unseld-Dorsey | Director of Fundraising and Events
Shealonda Unseld-Dorsey is a hemp retail dispensary owner and cannabis consultant at Leaf of Faith Wellness Dispensary located in Louisville, KY. She educates clients about the benefits and uses of CBD, hemp and THC helping them navigate the evolving landscape of the industry.
Shealonda holds an Associates in Communication from Western Kentucky University, and a bachelor’s degree in Communication and and Media Studies at the University of Louisville. She went on to achieve a MAT in Special Education and a Masters in Administration/Principalship at Union Commonwealth University as well as a Masters of Education from the University of Louisville.

Board of Directors
Responsibilities: As a member of the Board of Directors, you will play a key role in governing the organization, setting strategic direction, and ensuring we meet our mission. Your input will be crucial in making decisions that impact our community, advocacy efforts, and consumer protection initiatives.
Commitment: Board members are encouraged to support fundraising efforts and participate in quarterly board meetings and 5-10 hours of committee work a month is also required. Board Members are also expected to participate and /or staff Kentucky NORML’s many fundraising and community events. While a specific financial commitment is not required, we welcome any contributions or fundraising support.
Who Should Apply: We are looking for individuals with experience in law, finance, consumer advocacy, public policy, or other relevant fields. A passion for cannabis reform and consumer safety is essential.
Advisory Board
Responsibilities: The Advisory Board offers strategic advice and expertise to support Kentucky NORML’s initiatives. While this is a non-governing role, your insights, connections and support will be invaluable in guiding our work, particularly in areas related to consumer protection.
Commitment: Advisory Board members are expected to contribute or fundraise $1000 - $2500 annually to demonstrate their commitment to Kentucky NORML’s mission and are encouraged to participate in quarterly advisory meetings.
Who Should Apply: We seek experts in fields such as healthcare, education, law enforcement, community organizing, and consumer protection. If you have a deep understanding of cannabis policy, product safety, or related areas, your advice will help shape our initiatives.
Special Committees
Responsibilities: Special Committees are formed to address specific needs and projects within Kentucky NORML. These committees are tasked with focused responsibilities, such as organizing events, conducting research, or developing new initiatives. Each committee operates under the guidance of the Board of Directors and collaborates with other committees and staff to advance our mission.
Commitment: Committee members are expected to dedicate time based on the project’s requirements. This can vary from a few hours a month for short-term projects to more extensive time commitments for long-term initiatives. Participation in committee meetings and progress reports is essential.
Who Should Apply: We are seeking individuals with specialized skills or expertise relevant to the committee’s focus area. Experience in event planning, research, public relations, or specific aspects of cannabis policy and advocacy is valuable. If you have a passion for contributing to targeted projects and driving meaningful outcomes, a Special Committee may be the right fit for you.
